Shooters Serving Shooters

   About Us

First, a bit of history...

Bashaw Sports Centre has been owned and operated by Robert "Pud" Stevenson since 1984. Pud has always been an avid sportsman, so it was a natural progression that the sports shop became geared towards hunting, fishing, competition shooting and gunsmithing services. Throughout the years, this little shop in Central Alberta has grown and gained a reputation for small-town service that can compete with any of the big stores when it comes to prices. The friendly and competent sales staff serve loyal customers from all over Western Canada, as well as providing mail-order services all over the country. Wondering which fishing lure works best at the local lakes? Maybe you're looking for some advice on scopes and binoculars. Bashaw Sports has staff with the knowledge and experience to guide you.

Pud, owner/manager of Bashaw Sports (left) with his right-hand man, Randy on the right.

Randy joined the sales team in 1997. He is an accomplished hunter and fisherman, and his extensive knowledge in these areas, as well as bow-hunting is a real bonus for customers trying to decide on just the right rifle, scope or shotgun for the next hunting season...

Dawna's expertise and efficiency in the office has been invaluable since she came onboard in 2003. She is well-equipped to handle just about any customer inquiries. Plus, we love her sense of humour!
Tom helps us out part-time. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to firearms. He is also an active member of the Pistol Club. This pic was taken at a competition while Tom was marking targets.

Geordie has been on staff for several years, and has the knowledge and experience to prove it. He's always happy to lend a hand and offer assistance and advice to customers.

Ty is Pud's son who helps out in the store after school and during summer vacation. He takes after his dad in his natural shooting ability, and his avid interest in firearms.
Angie may be the newest employee at Bashaw Sports, but she has quickly become a real asset to the team. As well as being helpful and courteous, she is no stranger to the sport of hunting!
